Our Story
Studio B is a locally owned Olympia salon built around great hair, good people, and a team that genuinely loves what they do.
We’ve been part of the community for nearly two decades, creating a space where guests can relax, feel heard, and leave feeling really good about their hair.
Education is a huge part of who we are. Our team is always learning, growing, and refining their skills so we can keep things current without chasing every trend that hits your feed.
We’re professional, but never overly serious. We take great hair seriously, have a lot of fun along the way, and want Studio B to feel like a place you’re always happy to come back to.

Meet the stylists dedicated to elevating the art of hair design through technical precision and a passion for growth.
Jose
Lead Stylist & Co-Founder
Jose loves all things color, especially blondes and a great color refresh. He’s been behind the chair for years, but still enjoys the transformation just as much as ever.
When he’s not at the salon, you’ll usually find him reading, hanging out in the backyard with Sancho, or cooking something amazing in the smoker. Give him an unexpected day off and there’s a pretty good chance carnitas are happening.
April
Co-Founder & Brand + Team Development
After 30+ years in the beauty industry, April is no longer behind the chair full time, although every now and then she still gets the itch to smell a little bleach and do some hair.
These days, her focus is growing the next generation of talented stylists, both inside Studio B and with local beauty schools. She also leads the salon’s marketing and education, helping keep the team inspired, current, and moving forward.
Outside the salon, she’s happiest with an iced coffee in hand, and warm weather in the forecast. Cold weather? Hard pass.
Hannah
Stylist & Colorist
Hannah is all about vivids and blonding because they give her the freedom to get creative and make each look completely unique. Bold color, fun transformations, and a little artistic freedom are right up her alley.
Outside the salon, you’ll usually find her reading, drawing, or hanging out with Goose, her English Bulldog. Give her an unexpected day off and she might finally put all that laundry away... maybe.
Morgan
Stylist & Colorist
Morgan is all about balayage because he loves how customizable it can be for each guest. Creating something that feels personal and completely their own is what makes it one of his favorite services.
Outside the salon, you’ll usually find him rock climbing, at the gym, hitting a thrift store, or out on a walk with music in his ears. The dream trip is Lisbon, and if there’s dark chocolate involved, he’s probably in.
Malia
Stylist & Colorist
Malia loves a good transformation, especially when bright, beautiful blondes are involved. Seeing that final reveal never gets old.
Outside the salon, you’ll usually find her exploring trails and beaches with her dog, enjoying a little nature, or making time for a good self-care day. Her dream getaway is Malta, and a Twix will pretty much always be a yes.
